Annual Financials 2025, ‘On Track’ Grants & Portfolio Performance
The 31 March 2025 Financials for the PAA Legacy Trust were approved by the Trustees at their 22nd October 2025 meeting and can be viewed here.
The Trust continued in FY 2025 to support the annual Financial Advice NZ conference, agreeing to becoming a ‘Strategic Partner’ for the 2025 THRIVE conference with a grant of $5,950 providing ten scholarships for ‘new to the industry’ advisers attending for the first time.
A previous grant to Financial Advice NZ announced in the 2022 financial year to assist with the initial establishment of access to the Kaplan Learning Management System for the benefit of Financial Advice NZ members. Now successfully established, it is currently available free to all Financial Advice NZ members. Known as ‘OnTrack’ it has over 500 members using it.
The Trustees subsequently agreed to a $60,000 grant for ongoing support of the LMS system with 4x payments of $15,000 each to be made June and December 2024 and June & December 2025 to support and expand the ‘On Track’ systems availability.
The portfolio continues to be invested based on a ‘Balanced’ risk profile. The investments held by the PAA Legacy Trust increased in value over the12months to 31 March 2025 from $2,405,694 to $2,441,174* representing a growth after distributions of $35,480 for the year ended 31 March 2025.
Since balance date both the Portfolio advisers underwent name changes with JARDEN now JB WERE and JMI Wealth now Shaw & Partners. The Trustees meet with them at least six monthly - and more frequently if needed - to discuss performance against the Balanced portfolio approach being followed.
